Real face Atletico on Saturday night in a repeat of 2014’s Champions League final. Real won the all-Madrid clash 4-1 that year, despite trailing 1-0 after 93 minutes. Sergio Ramos’ dramatic last-minute header forced extra time and then Gareth Bale, Marcelo and Cristiano Ronaldo got in on the act to seal Los Blancos’ 10th European Cup.

Semi finals: Agg 2-2 v Bayern (won on away goals)

Atletico’s path to the final has been considerably harder than their rivals'. They’ve already knocked out the 2013 and 2015 winners, Bayern Munich and Barcelona, while Real have faced relatively inexperienced sides in Wolfsburg and Manchester City.

Team news

Antoine Griezmann has been in phenomenal form this season and no player has registered a better shooting accuracy than Atletico’s French international. 85% of his attempts have been shots on target and he’s found the back of the net at an average of 145 minutes per goal. Considering Griezmann scored in the 54th minute of the semi final second leg, he may have just enough time to squeeze in another in the final.

Coral latest odds: Antoine Griezmann to score anytime - 6/4

Cristiano Ronaldo is the competition’s top scorer, scoring 16 times. He’s averaged a goal every 62 minutes and has also chalked up four assists for his team mates.

Coral latest odds: Cristiano Ronaldo to score two or more - 4/1

One man who will be missing on Saturday night is Raphael Varane. Real’s young centre back has been ruled out of both the Champions League final and Euro 2016 with a thigh injury, meaning Pepe should start with Sergio Ramos in defence.

The rivalry between Real and Atletico is so intense that we can expect to see ill discipline. Sergio Ramos is 9/1 to be the first player to be booked, with his defensive partner Pepe at 12/1. Both look like pretty decent bets.

Champions League finals tend to be cagey affairs so under 2.5 goals at 4/7 could come in. The La Liga fixtures this season finished 1-1 at the Vicente Calderon, with Atletico winning 1-0 at the Bernabeu. A repeat of the 1-0 scoreline is available at 13/2.
