The Premier League 2019/20 edition of Telegraph Fantasy Football is on the way and, with the summer transfer window in full swing, teams are working to improve their squads ahead of the big kick-off.

As always, the transfer gossip mill is in overdrive so we’ve picked out some of the more interesting rumours from all sorts of sources and given each player a provisional TFF price - just in case any of them actually make it to these shores.

Latest rumours

Could we see Gonzalo Higuain in the Premier League again next season? West Ham are rumoured to be interested in bringing the former Chelsea loanee and Juventus striker back to London to solve their striker crisis. Juventus reportedly want £36m for the Argentine as they look to recoup some of the £81m they spent on the forward in 2016. He disappointed Chelsea fans during his loan spell, scoring only 5 times in 18 appearances.

Liverpool are looking to make their midfield even stronger for the upcoming season, sources are reporting they have expressed interest in Real Madrid midfielder, Marco Asensio. According to the reports, Liverpool would be able to sign Asensio for £67m with Sadio Mane going in the other direction. Asensio has struggled for game time at the Bernabeu since joining in 2014 and has also been linked with Tottenham.
