Vegan investors can finally profit according to their principles with the launch of the world’s first exchange-traded fund (ETF) that excludes animal products.

The US Vegan Climate ETF fund launches on the New York Stock Exchange today and is based on the Solactive US Large Cap list of the 500 largest American companies.

It promises will not invest in companies that harm animals, and screens out firms that farm animals, make food from them or use them for entertainment.

While the green fund is not the first to pick stocks according to a strict environmental or ethical rulebook, it is the first ETF to be marketed as being completely vegan. It does this by tracking a vetted index made by Beyond...
